Em primeiro lugar gostaria de parabenizar todas as vovós pelo Dia da Avó - especialmente a minha. Sali, te amo demais! Enfim, a semana foi marcada pela visita do Papa ao Brasil e o nascimento do Royal Baby, não é verdade? Percebi que a nova mamãe, Kate Middleton andou abusando da estampa de bolinhas (ou poá, em termos mais fashionistas). E por ser um ícone de moda, claramente, muitas fashionistas andam se inspirando na Duquesa de Cambridge e adotaram o poá como o novo queridinho. Uma estampa tri clássica, estilosa e que combina com todos, não é verdade? Para quem tem medo de apostar na estampa, a dica é usar acessórios como lenços, bolsas, enfeites de cabelo e unhas ao estilo. As mais abusadas - e corajosas - podem tentar combinar o poá com outra estampa, ou até mesmo, misturar duas peças ao estilo. Acho uma print linda e vintage. Eu sou adepta, mas adoraria ter mais peças em polka dots. Separei algumas imagens para inspirar-los. Espero que gostem.

Firstly I would like to congratulate all the gradmas for The Grandma's Day - especially mine. Sali, I love you so much. Well, this week was marked by the visit of the Pope to Brazil and the birth of the Royal Baby, isn't true? I've noticed the new mama, Kate Middleton has been wearing polka dots clothes. And for being a fashion icon, surely some fashionistas have been getting inspired by the Duchess of Cambridge and bet on the polka dots as their new darling. The pattern is classic and stylish and matches with everyone, right? For who's afraid to bet on the print, the tip is wearing accessories such as scarves, handbags and headbands by the style. The most courageous ones can match the dots with another print, or even match two pieces in polka dots. I think this print very beautiful and vintage. I often wear it, but I'd love to have more pieces of clothes in this style. I selected some images to inspire you. I hope you like them.

Playlist: Vintage Rock

Hoje é dia de rock, baby! O gênero musical mais influente entre os jovens dos últimos 50 anos procura sempre evoluir e se atualizar. Não é atoa que é adorado por muitas gerações e, acredito eu, sempre será. Um gênero que surgiu para quebrar as barreiras do racismo, misturando o blues dos negros com o country branco. O rock também sabe ser solidário, ajudando e arrecadando fundos para crianças famintas na África com o seu We Are The World e Live Aid. Mas, acredite, ainda há pessoas que creem que o rock é coisa do diabo, afinal seu símbolo é uma caveira. Para essas pessoas, eu faço a seguinte pergunta: caveiras têm sexo, cor ou orientação sexual? Não, elas são todas iguais. E é isso que o rock representa: a diversidade. Amores, para um dia tão especial como este, fiz uma playlist reunindo os clássicos do rock vintage das décadas de 50 e 60. Começando com Celly Campello, passando por Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Roberto Carlos, The Rolling Stones e muitos outros. Não quero ninguém parado, viu? É para mexer os esqueletos. So let's rock around the clock!

Today is Rock's Day, baby! The most popular genre of music between the young ones the past 50 years always tries to evolve and upgrade. It's not for nothing that it is worshiped for many generations and, I believe, it will always be. A musical genre that emerged to break down barriers of racism, matching the "black blues" with the "white country music'. The rock also can be very helpful, helping to raise funds for hungry children in Africa, with its We Are The World and Live Aid. But, believe me or not, there are still some people who think rock is a devil's thing because its symbol is a skull. To those ones, I just ask: Do skulls have colour, sexuality or sex? No, they're all the same. And that's what rock wants to show: the diversity. Loves, for a very special day like this one, I made a playlist with the main vintage classics from the 50s and early 60s. Starting with Bill Haley, passing by Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, The Beach Boys and many others. I don't want anyone stopped, ok? It's for you to dance. So let's rock around the clock!

Giorgio Armani Privé - Paris Haute Couture Winter 2014

Confesso que não ando acompanhando cada momento e desfile da Semana da Alta Costura Parisiense ( ou Paris Haute Couture Winter 2014). Porém, não pude deixar de ver minhas maisons prediletas na passarela, não é? Além da clássica Chanel, que sempre me surpreende - Karl, você é genial e a cada desfile eu te admiro mais e mais - um dos fashion shows que mais me chamaram a atenção foi o do estilista italiano, Giorgio Armani: a coleção de inverno foi totalmente inspirada na Art Decó e nas divas hollywoodianas da década de 30. Dá para imaginar algo mais vintage que isto? Por ser predominantemente em tons claros e perolados, a coleção foi denominada Nude. Me apaixonei pelo trabalho bem feito dos maquiadores e cabeleireiros: as modelos pareciam ter vindo realmente dos anos 30. Terninhos, rendas, ombreiras e transparência predominaram no desfile. Perfeito, né? A verdadeira Marlene Dietrich moderna. Separei alguns looks abaixo.

I confess that I'm not watching each moment and fashion show from the Paris Haute Couture Winter 2014. However, I couldn't help watching my favourite maisons on catwalk, right? Besides the classic Chanel, which always surprises me - Karl, you're a genious and every fashion show I admire you more and more - one of the fashion parades that most caught my attention was the one of the Italian designer Giorgio Armani: the collection was totally inspired by Art Decó and divas from the Golden Hollywood in the 30s. Can you imagine something more vintage than this? By being predominantly in light and pearl tones, the collection was named Nude. I fell in love with the well-done work of the make-up artists and hairdresses: the models really seemed to have come from the 30's. Suits, lace, jamps and transparency predominated during the parade. Perfect, no? The true modern Marlene Dietrich. I selected some looks below.

The Beatles: The Stories behind the Songs

Julho está aqui novamente! E para que começar bem o mês do rock, nada melhor que um post vintage ao estilo rockeiro. Um dos vários presentes que ganhei de aniversário foi o livro The Beatles: A História por trás de todas as Canções, de Steve Turner - obrigada, tia Márcia! Como vocês sabem, eu sou completamente apaixonada pelo quarteto de Liverpool. E ler um livro que conta a história por trás de todas as principais canções da banda foi uma experiência bastante emocionante. Confesso que não li o livro na ordem correta - a curiosidade me fez avançar algumas páginas antes hehehe. Mas, garanto: é livro muito bom e que te faz voltar ao tempo em que as músicas foram escritas. Se você é fã de Beatles, com certeza vai amar o livro. E se não é...bem, vale a pena conhecer um pouco mais da imensa obra dos caras. O livro é escrito em ordem cronológica e cada capítulo indica um álbum da banda. Dica: quando ler o livro, escute, ao mesmo tempo, a música que você estiver lendo sobre. Tietei bastante o livro, confere as pics abaixo.

July is here again! And to start this rock n' roll month, nothing better than a rocker vintage post. One of th many gifts I won on my birthday was the book The Beatles: The Stories behind the Songs, by Steve Turner - thank you, aunt Márcia! As you know, I'm completely in love with the 4 cute boys from Liverpool. And reading a book which tells the stories behind all the main songs of the band, was an incredible experience. I confess that I didn't read the book in the correct order - the curiosity made me advance some pages before hahaha. But I ensure: it is a very good book and makes you go back in the time the songs were written. If you are a beatlemaniac, you will certainly love the book. And if you aren't...well, it is worth to know a bit more the huge work of the guys. The book is written in chronological order and each chapter indicates a band album. Tip: when go reading the book, listen at the same time the music that you're reading about. See the pictures below.
