Atualmente a joia que não sai dos pescoços das fashionistas é o camefeu, pedra fina acinzentada com figuras em relevo. Eles podem vir em broches, anéis, pulseiras e brincos. As imagens que o ilustram pode ser uma figura mitológica, nobre ou até mesmo uma caveira. Calcula-se que o primeiro camafeu surgiu em 300 a.C em Alexandria. Naquela época eram muito apreciados, pois continham figuras de deuses. Voltaram a ficar famosos no século XIX, onde eram adorados pela Rainha Victória, Napoleão Bonaparte e outros nobres. Foi à partir daí que, também, começaram a ser usados por mulheres. 

Actually the jewel that is a hit among fashionistas is the cameo, a thin and grey stone with figures in relief. You can find them in brooches, rings, earrings and bracelets. The images that appear in cameo can be a mythological figure, a noble or a skull. The first cameo was made in Greece in 300 b.C. In this time, they were very appreciated because they used to have figures of gods. They became famous again in nineteenth century, where they were worshiped by Queen Victoria, Napoleon Bonaparte and other royals. They began to be worn by women in this time too.

Recebi um selinho muito lindo e fofo do blog La vie en Rose, cuja a dona é a queridíssima Michelle Borges. Achei-o bem criativo e... aí vão as regras:

O fotógrafo e atual queridinho das celebridades, Terry Richardson, clica a nova campanha de joias da grife David Webb. Ele não só fotografa como também estrela a campanha, ao lado da modelo Eniko Mihilak. As fotos de Terry são famosas e polêmicas, muitas delas apresentam conteúdo violento e nudez. Porém, nessa campanha, Terry fez fotos mais comportadas. O design das joias está bem original e colorido; tons como azul e verde predominaram nas fotos. Tudo simplesmente incrível e com um toque de maldade. Ui!

Photographer Terry Richardson clicks the new campaign of jewelry designer David Webb. Terry also stars in it alongside the model Eniko Mihilak. The photos taken by him, are very famous and polemic; many of them have violent content and nudity. But those for David Webb are very "behaved". The jewelry design is very colourful and original; tones of blue and green appear a lot. Everything's pretty! Oh Terry, you're so bad.

Verão é uma época em que raramente usamos roupas pesadas. Podemos até abusar de cores quentes como vermelho e laranja, ou cores pesadas e escuras como preto, mas acho que deveríamos usar cores mais leves nessa época do ano. Pensando nisso, preparei um post sobre o uso de cores e roupas mais leves no verão.

Summer is a season that we wear heavy clothes rarely. We can wear hot colours such as red and orange, or heavy and dark colours like black, but I think we should wear more light colours in this season of the year. Thinking about it, I prepared a post about how to wear light colours and light clothes in summer. 

Se você quer se sentir mais leve nesses dias de calor, aposte em uma peça branca. No caso da produção acima, eu escolhi um vestido soltinho. Para colorir esse vestido, coloquei os acessórios em cores pastel, nude e amarelo. Nos pés, aposte na rasteirinha ou na sapatilha. Jóias com toques rústicos e étnicos leves, também dão um toque mais light pro look. Procure usar roupas com tecidos finos e confortáveis.

If you wanna feel lighter on these warm days, bet on a white outfit. In the production above I chose a loose dress. To colour that dress, I put the accessories in pastel, nude and yellow colours. On the feet, bet on a sandal or flat shoes. Jewels with a little bit of rustic and ethnic, also give a lighter touch in the outfit. Try wearing clothes with fine and comfortable fabrics.

Para uma produção mais casual e simples, coloquei no look um crop top e um hot pants. Quem disse que jeans não pode ser leve?Aposte no jeans em cores claras, como branco ou azul claro. Nos pés, aposte em um all star ou um oxford. Jóias em cores douradas também caem bem. Combine tudo isso com uma maquiagem bem natural e nude.

For a production more casual and simpler, I put a crop top and a hot pants on the look. Who said  jeans cannot be light? Bet on a  jeans in light colours such as white and light blue. On the feet, bet on an all star or an oxford. Jewels in golden colours also combine. Combine all this with a nude makeup.

Elizabeth Taylor era tão linda que somente jóias poderiam realçar ainda mais a sua beleza. A bela tinha uma coleção de jóias famosas enorme - Bulgari, Tiffany, Cartier, Lalique, entre outras. Eram 300 jóias no total. Elizabeth, também tinha um grande conhecimento sobre elas. Uma de suas jóias mais famosas é o colar de esmeralda da Bulgari, presente de Richard Burton. 

Elizabeth Taylor was so beautiful that only jewelry could further enhance her beauty. The pretty woman had a huge famous jewelry collection - Bulgari, Tiffany, Cartier, Lalique, etc. There were 300 jewels in general. Elizabeth also had a big knowledge about them. One of Elizabeth's most famous jewels is the emerald necklace of Bulgari, a Richard Burton's gift.

Outras jóias famosas da atriz, eram o colar de rubi da Cartier dado por Mike Todd e o broche com a insígnia do País de Gales que pertenceu a esposa do Rei Eduardo VIII, Wallis Simpson. Porém, a joia mais bonita de Liz Taylor era o colar de pérola natural La Peregrina. Esse colar pertenceu a coroa Espanhola, a Maria I da Inglaterra e a Napoleão Bonaparte. Com a  morte de Elizabeth, em março do ano passado, as joias foram expostas e leiloadas pela Christie's. 

Other famous jewels of Elizabeth, were the ruby's necklace of Cartier given by Mike Todd and the brooch with the emblem of Wales that belonged to the wife of King Edward VIII, Wallis Simpson. But  Liz Taylor's most beautiful necklace was the natural pearl necklace La Peregrina. This necklace belonged to the Spanish Crown, Marie I of England and Napoleon Bonaparte. With the death of Elizabeth in march 2011, the jewels were exposed and auctioned by Christie's.
